About Course

Overview
Construction Site Safety Program is a in-person course that provides training credentials that are well-recognized by contractors and owners who seek top-tier performance from their on-site supervisors and safety technicians. Designed for prospective safety professionals, this extensive, standardized program covers both the practical and administrative aspects of construction safety.

Those who successfully finish a designated set of modules from the NCCER safety curricula will receive a certificate, transcript, and wallet card featuring one of NCCER’s three safety training designations:

  • Construction Site Safety Orientation (CSSO)
  • Construction Site Safety Supervisor (CSSS)
  • Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST)

Additionally, individuals who complete all modules in the Field Safety and/or Safety Technology curricula will earn level completion credentials, in line with NCCER’s credentialing framework for craft training.

To gain entry into the NCCER Secure Credential Database and receive credentials, these courses must be taught by a certified safety instructor within an Accredited Training Program.

Safety training credential certificates are issued as follows:

Module Completion Certificates:

  • Construction Site Safety Orientation (CSSO)
  • Fall Protection Orientation

Level Completion Certificates:

  • Field Safety
  • Safety Technology
